For the past 5 years, LLAA has given this award to an alumnus who has truly impacted our organization.  These recipients are visionary, innovative  leaders who have helped our organization grow and strengthen over the years.  Their talents, time, and commitment to our organization need more than a thank you.  Lana Swartzwelder received this award at the Annual Awards Celebration held in May.

Lana began her legacy in 1997 when she became a member of Class 15. Her leadership skills and impact on the community lead her to LLAA where she began her service to our board in 2010. From events  to our Leadercast committee, she has continued to help us grow our organization.   She became president of LLAA in 2020 and helped LLAA re-structure our organization from a board of 36 to a working board of 15 and an advisory board of 21.   She is the only president to serve two terms and got us all through COVID with creative ways to grow and keep our organization moving forth.  Although her duties and responsibilities have shifted along with our board,  her dedication and commitment to the growth and strengthening of our  organization has remained steadfast.   As one of the longest serving board members (for 12 years), she  is currently the chair of our Past Presidents advisory board which selects our high school scholarship recipient each year.
